As it is for many teams around the globe, most of DigitalFilm Tree (DFT) is now working from home!

Robert, our VFX Editor, continues to QC shots from his remote station. Thomas, our Senior Colorist, is doing Remote Post Finishing with a client at home, using one of our deployed PostSync™ systems. Andrea, our Cinecode Producer, is doing VR and virtual production demos from home. All of this happening securely thanks to Ty, our CISO, providing secure networking to our team and our clients, as well as other vendors – setting up routers and LogMeIn access so less humans have to go onsite. Mike, our Senior I/O Operator, is testing all of our software solutions, remoting into DFT systems from home, while Keyvan, our Sr. Software Developer has built, tested and deployed more solves in the past month than we’ve iterated on in the past 6 months – again, all from home with the ability to securely access DFT systems and client work stations. The biggest VFX workload in DFT’s history is being tackled with a deafening precision across a team of artists, all working remote.

Our R&D lab has been working around the clock in partnership with other vendors and providers to solve for the influx of shows needing secure solutions. We know that now, more than ever, is not the time to compromise our data or media security or the efficiency of collaboration. Thanks to platforms like GoToMeeting, we even still enjoy each others smiles!

We hope to offer you some of our same safety and efficiency offerings should your project need help. We’re grateful to be a team on a common mission, and look forward to bringing others along with us.

Stay Safe & Be Well,
Team DFT
