DigitalFilm Tree had an incredible time this past year with SXSW virtual – and we’re ready to go back, but this time all the way to Austin. Hopefully bringing some of our friends from our favorite shows with us! Community voting makes up 30% of their scheduling decisions, so we’d love for your support on Panel Picker. Voting runs from August 10th to the 26th!
Sign into your existing SXSW account, or create one easily by signing up here: https://id.sxsw.com/sign_up Once you’re logged in, you can simply click on one of our easy links/the images below to vote, or head to “Browse Proposals” where you can search for the show names. Let us know or tag us on social once you’ve given us your support – and thank you for that!
We can’t wait to share more incredible stories from the teams that bring these shows directly to your screens – and to see many of you in Austin next year!
Join the team bringing ABC’s hit show “Home Economics” to life as they unpack a family full of complexities and represent a true portrait of the modern American family. Executive Producer Topher Grace (“That 70s Show,” Spider-Man 3, In Good Company) also stars as Tom, the eldest of 3 grown-up siblings who find themselves living at vastly different levels of financial security from one another. We’ll look into the writers room and all the way through post production to showcase the intentional world being built to highlight how far the family sitcom has come and what it can do for us today.
NCIS: Los Angeles is underway on their 13th season of innovation on & off screen. Featuring star & Director, Daniela Ruah, with members of the post and production team, we’ll take a look back on all 13 seasons to touch on everything from their use of Pre Visualization in the game engine for stunt work, VFX workflows and how they’ve adapted the show during Covid to remote editorial and color review, which will long outlive the pandemic to shift how televisions is made, in addition to the stories inherent to having worked with the same team for over a decade – all while leveraging bleeding edge technology.
Season 2 of Ted Lasso hits a little different – it’s the Empire Strikes Back nod that, as Jason Sudeikis shared with Jimmy Fallon, “starts in the cold and ends in a little chillier place than where we started. Everybody’s gotta go in their cave and meet a little green man.” Depending on which schedules permit, you’ll hear from producers, writers, and/or stars of the show as they unwind some of the ethos, intention and deep connection with fans.
One of Netflix’s biggest hits, The Umbrella Academy is an incredible feat of both the imagination and technical complexities. Meet Producers and the Post team behind the scenes building the Academy shot by shot and taking you through time, epic battles and the emotional journeys of family. Let’s unpack season 3 together!
