DigitalFilm Tree is the leading pioneer in creating workflows for film editing on Final Cut Pro. Back in the year 2000 the principals behind DigitalFilm Tree gathered in a small Hollywood apartment for a history-making test of Final Cut Pro and film editing.

filmlogic history
FilmLogic was an application written by Loran Kary to allow for film editing on NLEs such as Final Cut Pro. Later, due to efforts of Loran and DigitalFilm Tree, FilmLogic was purchased by Apple Computer and is currently offered as Cinema Tools.

the watershed event
On February 13th 2001, DigitalFilm Tree and Guild editor Daniel Fort organized an event called 'Final Cut Pro, FilmLogic and DVCAM in the hot seat.'
