Cisco’s Cius tablet is dead

Cisco announced recently that it was getting out of the tablet business due to, what it called, ”market transition”, which means no one wanted the Cius. Fact remains that between the huge popularity of Apple’s ipad, and the remaining market being taken over by Android clones, there is very little room for another tablet.

Cisco, RIM, and HP for that matter, have all  fallen victim to the same delusion; while they promote their tablets as ideal for enterprise-level, corporate environments, all of these companies are competing against consumer devices like Apple’s iPad. And they are all having their asses kicked into the dust.
