These were plotted by John Nelson of IDV Solutions using data from NOAA via the amazing Data.gov website. Nelson plotted each tornado’s path and used brightness for its F-scale or the level of intensity. Click to see a larger version, which also shows secondary charts for deaths and injuries and frequency by F-scale.
