Not that you need one, but now you have another good reason not to buy a Samsung TV.
Presenting at CES, the nation’s largest, suckiest and most worthless electronics show, Samsung announced that it has plans to place ads on the screens of their future “smart” TVs.
Here’s a telling quote from Samsung, and a very good reason not to go near any of their TVs:
Samsung AdHub envisions creating a win-win situation for both publishers and advertisers with sophisticated targeting solutions. By matching the right ad with the right content, advertisers will be able to reach their marketing goals. This increases advertisers’ willingness to pay a high premium for ads being delivered, which brings a stable revenue stream for publishers.
No thanks, Samsung. I will pass.
